UBUNTU = I AM BECAUSE YOU ARE

The Southern African word ubuntu comes from the Zulu and Xhola languages, and can be roughly translated as "humanity towards others."

Mission and Purpose: The Black Parents United Foundation (BPUF) is a 501(c)3 community-based non-profit organization created for parents of black and brown children to empower their children, and to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion through confidence building, community development, and community engagement.

Vision: The vision of the Black Parents United Foundation (BPUF) is to provide equity, diversity, and inclusive programs to all families.

2023: Black Parents United Foundation, Colorado Governor Polis, and Cultivando join the United States Vice President Kamala Harris to speak about the climate crisis.

BPUF is the Opening Speaker for the United States Vice President Kamala Harris. 
Vice President Harris arrived March 2023 in the Denver metro area for a visit focused on the climate crisis.
